Just had a Davidoff Maduro R
The maduro wrapper is the color of dark roasted coffee beans. Pre-light you'll be greeted with hints of cocoa and vanilla bean flavors.
Upon lighting you'll be greeted with a wide array of flavors and aromas that all paint the perfect picture of what Davidoff is about. Perfectly blended and masterfully crafted. Once you get into the cigar you'll find a combination of classic Davidoff flavors: subtle cedar and that classic coffee note However, with the Maduro R you will notice some shockingly intrigueing flavors as well such as safron, banana, and a hint of charred oak here and there. As with any great maduro there's the ever present sweetness to the cigar that concurs those who have sweet tooths.
The Maduro R won't vary too much in flavor as it smokes...but it doesn't need to. Even through a box of cigars, you'll be pressed to conclude all of the hidden flavors of this Davidoff.
